When my wonderful neurologist, Dr. John Schaefer, who just retired after 40 years at NYH, saw me after my shoulder surgery he said “I’m so glad you didn’t go to one of those arrogant shoulder surgeons, we have so much trouble with their surgeries.” He then demonstrated someone walking in with their shoulder at ear level. “You had a huge surgery, and you already look like a regular person.” This was a month after the surgery.
